Andy Read is the Principal and Broker for Caldecott Properties. Andy specializes in real property sales in the East Bay including single family homes, condominiums, lofts and development sites. His real estate business is concentrated in Oakland, Berkeley, Piedmont, Emeryville, Orinda, Lafayette, Moraga and Walnut Creek. Andy heads the New Developments department which consults with developers and conducts marketing and leasing/sales for residential and mixed-use developments. Andy began his real estate career as a licensed Sales Agent in New York for Fenwick-Keats, a residential brokerage in Manhattan. Andy then worked as a Senior Sales Agent for Lofts Unlimited in Oakland where he began in 2002. Prior to his real estate career, Andy worked in the advertising industry in San Francisco for agencies Hampel/Stefanides and Goldberg, Moser, O'Neal where he planned, managed and purchased media for clients like Dell Computers, Packard Bell, Beringer Wine Estates and Lucas Arts. Andy also worked in Sales for Personify, a data mining and behavioral analytics software company. Andy was born in Berkeley, raised in Orinda, and is a graduate of U.C. Davis with B.A. degrees in Sociology-Economic Organizations and Philosophy. Andy donates a portion of each of his transactions to the East Bay Humane Society, the Bay Area's only no-kill shelter.
